Gift Baskets: Build a Better Basket — Out of the Box


Fruit and cookie gift baskets are always fine, but why not pull together your own basket, filled with items that you know they’ll love? Let our favorite ideas inspire your own perfect creation.

Movie Night Basket

Start with a big tub (perfect for popcorn or another favorite movie nosh)—add in a gourmet popcorn mix and flavorings, a gift card for Netflix or iTunes, and a favorite movie on DVD or Blu-Ray. Fill in the gaps with boxes of classic movie candies, like Junior Mints and Jujy Fruits.


Music Fan Basket

Fill a cool tote with a set of portable speakers, a luxe set of headphones, a new case to protect the iPod—and of course, an iTunes gift card so he can splurge on new music.

Wine Lover’s Basket

Start with a bottle or two of their favorite vintage (or a gift certificate to their favorite store), and add in some nice accessories: a cool new corkscrew, a set of wine charms, and a matching wine stopper. Put all the items together with a new wine cooler. If you’re feeling extravagant, include a pair of elegant crystal wine glasses.
