Sangria Recipe – Bring On the Fun…

Self-serve – if it can work at fast food places it can work at home. OK, perhaps a slightly more sophisticated version, but still…

Entertaining brings enough anxiety for many (when to put in the chicken, how to time the mashed potatoes, is there enough garlic bread) and the drink department doesn’t have to be part of the craziness. This is a simple, make-ahead white wine sangria that you finish at the last minute and then let your guests serve themselves.  There’s no bad here.

Sangria White Wine Recipe

So delicious and beautiful. Let your inner bargain hunter come out because this is NOT the time to use expensive wine – it would be a huge waste. Just sayin…

2 bottles white wine

1/3 cup white sugar

1 thinly sliced orange

2 thinly sliced limes

1 thinly sliced lemon

2 cups mixed fresh berries

1/3 cup orange liqueur

1/3 cup gin

4 cups ginger ale

  1. Put wine and sugar in a large beverage dispenser, stir well then add fruit, liqueur and gin.
  2. Mix and refrigerate up to 24 hours.
  3. Before serving add the ginger ale and the ice.
