Spicy, Cheesy, & Addictive: Queso Dip


Spicy, cheesy queso dip is a zesty classic for game day.


Overview

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cook Time: 8 minutes
  • Yield: 4 cups, enough for 8-10 people

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 (15 ounce) can chopped tomatoes with jalapenos or chipotle, drained thoroughly
  • 1 4 ounce can chopped green chiles, drained thoroughly
  • 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin

Instructions

  1. Place a large skillet over low heat and melt the cream cheese with the heavy cream, stirring until smooth, about 4-5 minutes. Add the chopped tomatoes and green chiles and stir to combine.
  2. Add the grated cheese, stirring to melt into the mixture. Add cumin. Sprinkle the cornstarch over the mixture and stir to combine and thicken, about 3-4 minutes.

  1. It would be nice if I could somehow send the recipe to my email address. That way I could just print out the copy plus I could
    put it in my own (email address) Recipe file. so if I lost the recipe or it got damaged or something spilled on it, I could easiely replace it. (maybe there is a way and I just do not know how to do it, I am not real great on the computer.

    1. There is a way to email recipes! Click on the green “share this” button under the instructions. A window will pop up with a button in the lower to share by email. You then choose how you want to email it and you can send it to yourself. There’s also a print button at the top of the recipe under the picture.

      You might also want to sign up for a recipe box. If you click on “save recipe” under the picture, you’ll see an option to sign up for a recipe box you can use not only to save recipes from our blog, but from other sites as well. very handy!
