Must-Have Spa Accessories

There’s nothing better than indulging in a hot bath and a glass of wine after a long day. And while the bare essentials (bath salts and a nice Shiraz) can do the trick , mixing in a few spa-like upgrades can turn a great end of the day ritual into an even better one. Here are few home spa accessories I’ve been coveting.

Kikkerland Design Wooden Backscratcher

I can’t think of anything I like better than a thorough back scratch. It soothes the nerves and immediately relaxes me, making it the perfect pre-bath activity. Kikkerland promises to get its five-fingered scratcher into all of those hard-to-reach places, thanks to a telescopic handle that expands from 6.25 inches to 20 inches in length.

Soft Spa Massage Pillow

Full disclosure: If I owned this pillow, I would never get out of the tub. Not only is it made from Memory Foam — the Lamborghini of pillow fillings — it has a Personalized Intensity Control which would let me target the massage to my head, neck, or shoulders. And on a really bad day I could treat all three problem areas with a soothing, vibrating massage. Ahhhhhh.

While I’m not a huge fan of person-on-person foot massages, my dogs still need a little TLC. Enter the HoMedics® Shiatsu Foot Massager. This space-age baby promises to massage my tootsies from toe to heel with heat action and 12 massage nodes. Do you think it’s okay to keep one of these under my desk at work?

Ultimate Spa Experience Basket

Who says you can’t gift yourself the way you’d gift a good friend? If I were going to give myself the ultimate spa experience, I’d invest in this mind-blowing mixed bag of bath must-haves. It includes basics like a nail brush, wooden massager, and scented candle, plus fancy extras like peony scented bath gel, rose petals, and a fluffy white robe.

Pink Turbie Twist® Hair Towel

I adore anything that makes me feel like a character out ofValley of the Dolls (hello, sensible shift dress and a pair of go-go boots). Which means if I’m creating a truly fantastic spa experience, I need a hair turban. This pink version of this 1960’s-style bath must is made from super soft material that quick dries. I can look fashionable tub-side without ruining my ‘do.
