Starter Pack: Oktoberfest
Cheers to Oktoberfest! We may not be in Munich, but any excuse to throw a party, right?
Celebrate the right way, from afar, with our help. We’ve got kits to make your own beer, special mugs, and even costumes, in case you’re trying to be super extra. Here’s what you need to get the party started.
This is a beer holiday. If there’s ever a time to try out brewing your own beer, it’s now. This kit from BrewDemon™ makes it easy to brew two gallons of beer and comes with bottles, caps, and labels.
You’ll also need some steins. We like these, which hold a whopping 32 ounces of beer. You might just feel as if you’re sitting in a giant tent in Germany, even though you’re in your living room.
If you’re drinking, you’ve got to be eating too. Bratwurst definitely needs to be on the menu, and you can cook them to perfection with an indoor sausage grill. Or if you really want to be adventurous, you can make your own sausages, with food grinder and sausage stuffer attachments for your KitchenAid® Stand Mixer. Make sure to have plenty of mustard on hand for dipping. No one ever had a bad time while eating a soft pretzel either. Get your hands on some in the freezer section of your grocery store.
Do It Up with Decor
Give your place the right feel with festive accents. A gingham tablecloth in blue and white will do the trick without requiring too much effort on your part. As an added bonus, you’ll keep your table safe from spills. Also grab some party supplies, including plates and cups, paper lanterns, banners, and more. It’s your party and you’ll decorate if you want to.
Bonus Points for Costumes
Costumes probably aren’t necessary. But we’re just going to leave these here. Do with them what you will.
