Superhero’s Secret: Blueberry Banana Flax Smoothie

One of those trendy smoothie bars would charge you six bucks for this delicious concoction — maybe extra because it’s so good for you. This smoothie recipe includes the ingredients for superpowers: antioxidants, omega-3s, fibre, potassium, calcium   — in a fruity, creamy shake.


  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings



  • 1 cup fat-free plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp ground flax seeds


  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
