Bread Pudding with Bourbon Whipped Cream


This boozy twist on a classic bread pudding will leave you and your guests drunk in (dessert) love.

Ingredients

Bread Pudding:

  • 1 loaf sliced cinnamon bread, ends removed and cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups half & half
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup pecan pieces
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Bourbon Whipped Cream:

  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 Tablespoon bourbon
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar

Instructions

Bread Pudding:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Lightly butter casserole dish. Put cubed bread on bottom of casserole dish. Scatter nuts & chips over bread.
  3. Mix milk, half & half, sugar and eggs in large bowl and pour over bread. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until set. Let cool slightly before serving

Bourbon Whipped Cream:

  1. Combine cream, bourbon and sugar in a mixer, and beat until thickened.
