Chocolate Fondue: The Dessert of Love?

I say why not? It’s warm, it’s melty, it’s chocolaty, and it’s perfect for sharing. In fact it was designed for sharing, and that’s the best part. Plus this is a very simple version of a chocolate fondue recipe that will have you dipping and sharing in no time.

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings



  • 3 ounces bittersweet chocolate
  • 2 ounces milk chocolate, chips are fine
  • 1/4 - 1/3 cup whipping cream
  • 1 Tablespoon Grand Marnier


  • Pound cake cut in cubes
  • Marshmallows
  • Fresh strawberries, stems on
  • Pineapple cut into cubes
  • Fresh orange sections
  • Anything else you like chocolate on


  1. Chop bittersweet chocolate into smallish chunks and place in a small bowl with milk chocolate.
  2. Bring whipping cream to boil in a small saucepan.
  3. Immediately remove from heat and pour over chocolate - whisk until smooth and silky. Stir in Grand Marnier.
  4. Place in fondue pot to keep warm and serve with whatever you like to dip.
